Professional Toastmasters at Whitstable Castle Wedding Fair.
As usual the sun shone on Whitstable Castle for their
bi-annual Wedding Fair.
Your Toastmasters were meeting and greeting the prospective
brides and grooms from all over Kent.
The Castle is such a perfect venue for a wedding and there
are so many professional suppliers available to make the day special.
Your Toastmasters sabre was on show and created much
interest especially when Nikki explained that as a Maitre Sabreur she can teach
sabrage to those interested in opening champagne in a unique manor.
Indeed Dominic at the Castle was very interested in a future
function involving sabrage!
It was a lovely day amongst like minded colleagues and we
look forward to visiting one of Kent’s special venues again very soon.

Kent Wedding Toastmasters and Sabrage at St Augustine’s Wedding Fayre.
Kent Wedding Toastmasters and Sabrage at St Augustine’s
Wedding Fayre.
On the 30th September Jonathan & Nikki Your
Toastmasters spent a very enjoyable Sunday at St Augustine’s Wedding Fayre.
It is always a pleasure to be at such a wonderful venue that
gives brides and grooms so many possibilities for their special day. The professional staff are so very helpful
and well worth speaking to for advice and ideas.
Kent Wedding Toastmaster, Jonathan, welcomed brides, grooms
and families to the fair and Nikki, Kent’s Professional Lady Toastmaster
directed them around the extensive venue ensuring all guests saw the suppliers
on show.
Many brides and grooms loved the scarlet uniforms and the
pleasant manner of us both.
We thoroughly enjoyed the day and ended it by Nikki, a
Maitre Sabreur, teaching Nicola, a St Augustine’s employee, how to sabrage a
bottle of champagne to celebrate her forthcoming wedding. Angela from The Ace of Hearts Video was on
hand with her digital camera to capture the moment.

Thanks to Karen, Tony, Gavin, Nicola and the team at StAugustine’s for a great day and their kind words to us after the fayre.
Special Care Baby Unit Charity Night at the Pavilion Broadstairs
Special Care Baby Unit Charity Night at the Pavilion
Broadstairs
It was a humbling experience to be invited to become
auctioneers at the Pavilion Broadstairs on Friday 28th September. After all we only had to raise money for the
Special Care Baby Unit by urging generous guests to bid on the wonderful
donated gifts.
Nikki, Kent based Lady Toastmaster and Master of Ceremonies
acted as the auctioneer for this charity event and did a very professional job
on the night that also coincided with the Octoberfest Beer Night!
Although it was challenging it was not in the same league as
the cycle team lead by Jason Short who travelled 800 miles from John O’Groats to
Broadstairs Kent during a week of terrible storms and wind.
As well as the auction and raffle guests were also
entertained by the Jeff Barker Band and Surf Dude Grandad.
Your Toastmasters and Event Coordinators were proud to be
part of this magnificent charity night.
Well done everyone who has helped to raise nearly £17,000
for this very worthwhile cause.
If you would like to support this great cause and help Jason reach the target of £25,000 donate
