Masonic Spring Gala Evening at the Margate Winter Gardens

It has been a busy weekend for Your Toastmasters.

On Saturday lunchtime we met the organisers of the Spring Gala Evening to be held at the Queen’s Hall, Winter Gardens, Margate.

The joint venture hosted by Union Lodge, St John’s Lodge,Porta Maris Lodge and Trinity Lodge was to be a grand dinner followed by a cabaret.

Four hours after the meeting the event began.  Nikki & Jonathan ensured that the event ran smoothly on behalf of the Masonic Lodges and the venue.  The raffle raised money to support the outstanding charity work that is carried out by the Masonic Centre.

The cabaret was compered by Miki Travis who performed a great comedy routine and fabulous music was provided by Vegas Duo.  Your Toastmasters & Event Coordinators got on famously with both acts.  Nikki & Jonathan were complimented by the artists on their professionalism, voices and that it would be great to work together again in the future.

Overall the event was a great success and enjoyed by all that attended.

Last Wednesday Your Wedding Toastmasters and Event Coordinators met Jane Bishop at the Walpole Bay Hotel in Cliftonville, Thanet and as usual it was a very pleasurable experience. 

We talked about future events such as another charity fashion show, wedding packages and sabrage (opening champagne with a sabre) for the guests. 

The Walpole Bay  oozes charisma and any prospective bride needs to visit it to see all that it can offer. 

Your Lady Toastmaster Nikki talked to Jane about her skills as a sabreur – TheWalpole Bay hotel would be a perfect venue for such a venture.

Last Monday we attended a meeting at Cuts Inc in Broadstairs.  We met with other like minded people involved in weddings.  It became very apparent that East Kent which includes Thanet is full of very talented, innovative, enthusiastic personnel that are raring to support local brides and help make their dreams come true.   The wedding wish list is backed by Cuts Inc, IMMI Photography, Flowersby SP, Home Salon and Charli Pardo make up.
