Solton Manor – a wedding venue in the countryside

Your Kent Wedding Toastmasters said only last week that we pride ourselves on visiting quality venues.  Well this week we saw an absolute gem.

Solton Manor near Dover, Kent is a wonderful manor house that has been mentioned in the Domesday Book and lovingly looked after by Perry and Leonie Mercer.

The grounds, the converted Dutch barn, the outdoor ceremony location and much more were all stunning.

Accommodation for the bride and groom are also included in the hire charge.

Perry and Leonie were impressed that we could perform sabrage and that it is always interesting to find out about new and exciting services for weddings.

Your Toastmasters loved the venue and the owners and were delighted to have been given the opportunity to make themselves known.  We look forward to meeting them again soon and perhaps open a bottle or two of champagne!

Don’t just take our word for it; visit them to find out for yourself!

Solton Manor are hosting a wedding fayre on Sunday 22nd April 2012.

Whitstable Castle Wedding Fair

The sun shines on Whitstable Castle wedding fair 11th March

Last Sunday,  11th March, Your Toastmasters headed to Whitstable Castle.

Whitstable Castle is always a delight but when the sun comes out it becomes even more magical.  Your Toastmasters were there to meet and greet the visitor at both the castle entrance and the marquee. The day had a lovely atmosphere thanks to the exhibitors and excellent team at the castle.

Lady Toastmaster Nikki preformed sabrage in the grounds at the end of the day to round off a very successful event.  (Photographs coming soon!)

A Contemporary venue for weddings in Kent

The reputation of the Turner Contemporary in Margate, Kent as an art gallery is growing all the time.
However, not everyone is aware that it can be hired as a wedding venue.  Amit Nachumi-Burrows the Visitor Services Manager for Events has already four planned for this year.

On Wednesday 7th March, Kent based toastmasters Jonathan and Nikki from Your Toastmasters had the good fortune to spend a pleasant hour with Amit talking about these and other future events that this exciting Thanet venue is hosting.

Why not keep in contact with the Turner Contemporary and Your Toastmasters to see what is happening!

Wedding season starts in style

On Sunday 4th March 2012 the wedding season in Thanet has begun again and Quex Park in Birchington Kent, were quick off the mark to welcome prospective couples to visit their venue and all exhibitors.

Quex Park stands in beautiful grounds and despite the heavy rain throughout the day it still looked very welcoming.

Your Toastmasters were there to meet and greet.  Jonathan was at the main doors of the house and Lady Toastmaster Nikki took the opportunity to inform as many people as possible as to the benefits of having a toastmaster at weddings to ensure the smooth running of their day.

As usual it was a well run event and Alison, Vivienne, Carrie and the team showed everyone just how professional they are.  Why not visit Quex and see for yourself?

Leap Year Wedding Proposal

Your Toastmaster Jonathan in Margate just before
delivering chilled champagne to a special couple.

On a beautiful sunny day in Margate, romance was in the air.  Once every four years females are given the opportunity to propose to their loved ones.  Your Toastmasters were invited to be present at such an occasion at the Greedy Cow  in the Old Town of Margate.

Chilled champagne and a special card on a silver tray were delivered to an unsuspecting man and we were delighted that the outcome was successful.

The happy couple are now starting to think about their special day and their family, friends and business associates from WeightMedics are delighted.

Congratulations Carol and Paul
