Spring and romance is in the air!

After a long winter break it was good to meet our friends at Whitstable Castle.  They are planning their wedding fair on the 11th March 2012 and invited us to once again meet and greet their visitors.  The venue and the people are so welcoming that we are really looking forward to a good event.

Your Toastmasters visited Whitstable Castle during February's snow
the landscaped gardens look stunning in all weather!

Whether you like golf or not you will enjoy visiting Stonelees near Cliffsend.  Chelsea Carter and the team have a really well priced package available to prospective brides.  We were impressed with all that they offer especially the views over the surrounding countryside.  We hope to work with Chelsea and the team in the near future.  Stonelees also have a wedding fair on the 11th March 2012.

It’s beginning to get busy now that spring is approaching.  We have had four meetings in quick succession all wanting different styles of events.
One was an engagement celebration, another a wedding in 2013, the third was a wedding with a difference, and the fourth is very romantic but you will have to wait for more details!

A 'corking' start to the new year for Your Toastmasters

Gosh where has the time gone since our last blog!

Your Toastmasters have had an excellent Christmas & New Year – we spent 5 wonderful weeks on holidaying in Bangkok, Australia and Singapore.  However, as true professionals we are always looking to bring a smile to others faces – and that certainly happened in Sydney.  We were delighted to be able to teach the art of sabrage - needless to say many a champagne bottle was opened!

Since our return we have had an excellent start to 2012.  We have had lots of enquires for weddings even as far as 2013!

(We often hear brides say they have plenty of time to book the professionals they want.   We strongly recommend booking suppliers early as excellent ones are usually in demand and get booked early!)

Last week we had a very successful meeting with one of our couples (Vicky & Alun) who are getting married in November at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and their wedding breakfast is to be held at St Mary's Arts Centre Sandwich - we are really looking forward to being their toastmasters as they are such a lovely fun couple.  Alun is very keen to perform sabrage at the wedding – an excellent way to start the evening!

It is the time of wedding fayres and we are honoured to have been asked by Quex in Birchington and Whitstable Castle to meet and greet their guests. If you are planning to visit a wedding fayre then don’t miss Quex on Sunday 4th March and Whitstable Castle on the 11thMarch – if you come along make sure you say hello.

We were also invited to Gorgeous to Go Wedding Fayre at Dover Marina Hotel but we are unable to attend due to previous commitments – but if you are in the area on the 11th March pop along and meet Michelle or Kylie.
